Plot [edit]

Fuuka is a sequel to the 2004 manga Suzuka. The story follows Yuu Haruna, a loner and an avid Twitter user that made a promise with his childhood friend Koyuki Hinashi of starting a band. One dark, on his style to buy dinner, he stops to take a photo to upload to Twitter. A strange high school girl named Fuuka Akitsuki accidentally bumps into him and mistakenly believes that Yuu is trying to accept a photograph of her panties, which causes her to smash his telephone. Fuuka leaves behind a CD, which Yuu returns the following solar day. Appreciating Yuu's personality, Fuuka starts a relationship with him, but this is complicated when Koyuki, now a popular idol, contacts Yuu on Twitter and invites him to attend her concert. Fuuka and Yuu begin their music careers when they form a new band called The Fallen Moon together with classmates Makoto, Kazuya, and Sara. Meanwhile, Fuuka'southward feelings towards Yuu go on to grow, while Koyuki also begins to get closer to him.

Yuu is bassist of the ring The Fallen Moon (later renamed Bluish Wells). After transferring to a school in Tokyo, he meets Fuuka Akitsuki, a mysterious woman who does non take a cellphone. At her request, they form a band, which afterwards performs at their school'southward schoolhouse festival.

They successfully perform at their school's school festival. Her fate is different between the manga and the anime accommodation. The anime ends with Fuuka going out with Yuu.
Fuuka Aoi ( 碧井 風夏 , Aoi Fūka )
Generally referred to as Aoi to distinguish her from Fuuka Akitsuki, she is a budding musician who originally came from Izu, Shizuoka. After performing at a boxing-of-the-bands competition, she later performs together with The Fallen Moon at a music festival organized by the band Hedgehogs. Following this, Aoi requests that she join The Fallen Moon. Information technology is later on revealed that her begetter was the driver of the truck which killed Akitsuki. She falls for him afterwards on in the series and begins to date him in chapter 146 after playing the song he wrote for her expressing his feelings.

Fuuka was published by Kodansha from 12 Feb 2014[five] to 4 April 2018 in Weekly Shōnen Magazine and compiled into twenty volumes. A Fuuka Special Edition volume was published on April 13, 2018 and contains alternative endings for other heroines.

The manga was simul-published online in English language by Crunchyroll[vi] starting in 2014 and Kodansha The states starting in 2016. It was released in digital volumes by Kodansha United states from 2015 to 2019.

Anime [edit]

An anime boob tube serial adaptation produced past Diomedéa began airing on 6 January 2017.[7] [8] The serial' opening theme is "Climbers' High!" by Manami Numakura who voices Tama, vocalizer of the band Hedgehogs.[four] The series' catastrophe theme is "Watashi no Sekai" past Megumi Nakajima.[9] For episode half-dozen, the catastrophe theme is "Yukihanabi" ( 雪花火 ) past Saori Hayami.[10] The anime ran for 12 episodes and was released across six BD/DVD volumes.[eleven]

Yuu learns that the new school he is transferring to is too attended by Fuuka, who he runs into on the school rooftop. Another misunderstanding leads to her throwing Yuu's repair phone over the border, but she helps him notice it the next twenty-four hours every bit a favor for Yuu returning to her a CD she dropped during their first encounter. Elsewhere in a coffee store, a passerby who secretly photographed Yuu and Koyuki together shares his motion picture with a friend.

The schoolhouse bandmates continue to rehearse for the upcoming festival. The motion picture of Yuu and Koyuki gets uploaded online and spreads rapidly, with rumors and gossip running rampant. Koyuki's bureau denies that she is in the picture and refuses further comments, while Yuu gets mobbed past curious classmates at school. Fuuka is irritated simply suggests that they stay focused on the school festival performance. Despite the advice of her manager, Koyuki admits on a TV program that she was in the moving-picture show, and that Yuu is her unrequited beloved, who is the subject of her music. The idea of Yuu not returning Koyuki's feelings creates widepsread hostility towards him from her fans, and there are threats that they volition ruin the band's school festival performance. Yuu and Koyuki spend part of the 24-hour interval together around boondocks, and Yuu returns to practice with the band later. Hisashi has organized an opportunity for the band to perform at a live music club. For that, Fuuka decides that she wants to write the band's first original song, but while doing so, her growing feelings towards Yuu brainstorm to gnaw at her, which she feels more and more whenever she spots Yuu talking with Koyuki or spending time with her. Music producer Mogami meets with Fuuka to offer her a professional person solo career equally a vocaliser, only she declines due to her want to stay with the ring.
10 "Fate!"

With Fuuka now gone, the rest of the bandmates decide to disband The Fallen Moon. They each start to go down their ain paths, with Makoto returning to his family, Kazuya taking up runway again, and Sara joining a new band. Koyuki visits Yuu at his domicile and expresses her desire for the two of them to be together, suggesting that Yuu could however pursue music without the band with her by his side, but Yuu ultimately rejects her. Koyuki meets with Fuuka and urges her to realize her feelings for Yuu. On the twenty-four hours of the performance, Yuu goes searching for Fuuka and finds her on the schoolhouse roof. They confess their love for each and return together to the music club. The Fallen Moon, at present reunited, successfully holds their performance and debuts their new vocal, "Fair Wind". As the ring continues on their musical career together, the Hedgehogs also return from hiatus and brainstorm performing again, with Koyuki too starting a new ring of her ain called Rabbitz. Yuu and Fuuka become to pray at a shrine, afterwards promising always to be together.

A soundtrack album titled Fuuka Sound Collection was released on 15 March 2017, containing all insert songs and soundtracks from the anime.[15]
